Story

Hello everyone,

So it’s been 6 years since the London marathon for Freddie and having just about recovered from that I have decided to jump back in the saddle for another fundraiser for our superstar and have signed up for the London to Brighton bike ride to raise some funding for the next stages of the journey.

Fred has very recently had successful surgery to allow deep brain stimulation and the next steps in his therapy are going to be more important than ever - particularly his physio, OT and speech and language therapies.

The physio; to aid with mobility, weight bearing, preventing bone contractures and increasing muscle.

The speech and language therapy to improve his communication and independence by being able to use devices such as eye gaze or switches to communicate his needs or wants.

To maximise the benefits of these next steps we will need to go for intensive private therapy courses to really get the most out of it. So every penny will count.

I would be most grateful for anything you could kindly put towards this amazing cause for our Fredstar!

Jamie ☺️
